Alanah Perez
Alanah is originally from Queens, New York, where she began dance and acrobatics at the age of three. A dedicated and mature-for-her-age student, Alanah was asked to assist in her little sister's baby ballet class when she was just eight years old. From then on, she could be seen taking her own classes and assisting in several others throughout the years. Alanah was also the catalyst student for the contortion program at her studio, and trained in contortion for ten years, eventually teaching contortion class as well. With an appreciation for the arts, Alanah attended Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School, and graduated with a specialization in instrumental music. By the time she graduated high school, Alanah could be found at the dance studio after school seven days a week. During her college years, Alanah taught most styles including acro, ballet, lyrical, hip-hop, and tap.
After moving to Arizona in 2021, Alanah slowly but surely realized how much she missed teaching, and began teaching acro at Diamond Dance Works in the fall of 2023. Alanah hopes to continue learning and growing right alongside her students for many more years to come.
